Trees and Shrubs

The best time to plant trees and shrubs in the Twin Cities area is typically between May and October. This will ensure that your plants can establish roots and survive before the winter. Most often we plant trees and shrubs to add aesthetic beauty to our yard as well as shade for the summer months. Placing your trees and shrubs can be tricky though and, picking the right kind can be even harder. There are two types of trees and shrubs to consider when planting in your yard and a combination of both is ideal. Deciduous trees and shrubs lose their leaves every fall and grow again come spring. Evergreen trees and shrubs keep their leaves year round and can add color to your yard in the winter. Our design team can help you in deciding what type of subspecies would work best with each type of these plants in your yard.

Perennials and Annuals

Having a mixture of perennials and annuals in your garden is key to creating a variety of colors and textures within your yard. As with trees, perennials and annuals also need proper lighting, soil,and temperatures in order to thrive well. Container planters can also be incorporated into your yards design with the added benefit of being able to be moved around your yard throughout the growing season. Our design teams are able to plant perennials and annuals into your yard or your containers. With each client, we take into account things like the style of your home or business, your personal likes and dislikes, color contrasts, and flowering schedules so yard has variety and color all season long.
